47 Hooray! Layout

Hi! Are you a fan of Winnie the Pooh? If you are, you need to check out the new Say Cheese Classic Pooh Birthday collection by Simple Stories. It's a darling collection with great colors and designs, and the best part is you can use it for birthdays, but also for everyday moments, and of course, for visits to the magical world. Another important thing is that this collection coordinates perfectly with the previous Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection they released. Let's take a look at the layout and don't miss the quick reel at the end to watch how I made it.

For the background, I selected the mint paper with Pooh in the bottom corner. I love how cute this paper is. To enhance the design on it, I used a precision knife to cut around the globes, allowing me to fit the blush paper with polka dots and the blue gingham strip. On the left side of the blush paper, I added a green circle, and on the top area, a strip of the balloons paper and a yellow scalloped border. 

I chose the only photo I have of my recent 47th birthday celebration and printed it in a square format. Then, I matted it with a yellow gingham paper and added two more contrasting papers on the back. Those papers are a little tilted, giving the area more interest. On the left side of the photo, I made a little cluster using a tag from the Bits & Pieces pack and a few other elements from the Fun Time collection.

I used the empty space on the right side of the photo for the title. There, I added the die cut numbers with foam tape and the "hooray!" word from the foam stickers. Then, I embellished the area a little more using the banner foam sticker and some decorative brads and enamel dots. 

For the journaling, I cut two tags from the patterned paper and inserted them in the pocket I created with the blush polka dot paper. To embellish the tags, I used white crochet thread.

At the bottom of the layout, I tear a bit of the mint paper and backed it with the red polka dot paper to balance the red color and to add more texture to the page.
