It's almost Christmas, hope you are having a wonderful Holiday Season! Earlier this month, we had our Christmas photo session, and this is one of the photos from that day. I love this photo of my daughters; they are my most valuable and precious gift! You can feel the love between them, which fills my heart. What a better way to highlight this photo and document it than creating a layout.

To create this layout, I was inspired by the Winter Floral 2 cut file from JustNick. Hope you are doing great! It's a new month and Christmas is getting closer! While we wait for Christmas, let's try to create some Fall layouts. For me it is hard to create seasonal layouts since we basically only have one season here in Puerto Rico: summer, and some rainy days, for a change. We don't have those piles of beautiful colored leaves falling from the tress. For that, I'll need to travel and take those kinds of pictures, it is in my bucket list so maybe someday you can see them in my layouts. In the meantime, let's use beautiful fall products with the photos I've taken during this season. For me, the best choice is to match the colors in the photos with the papers and see how it works.

A few weeks ago, we went for a family ride without any destination. Then, my husband suggested to visit Hacienda Lealtad in Lares so he and our eldest daughter could have a cup of coffee. I'm not a coffee person, she inherited this from her dad. We went to this place, which is beautiful, so they could have a cup of coffee. Here in Hacienda Lealtad, they cultivate the coffee beans they use. We had a good time there and I took photos of my daughter enjoying her cup of coffee and made this layout using three cut files from JustNick Studio and products from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. A few weeks ago, my daughter started school, and this week I was finally able to take some time and create a layout for her. In this page, I'm documenting her first day using the formal uniform. The previous year, she only used the physical education uniform because of the constant changes due to the pandemic. She was very excited to use the formal uniform, especially the shoes, which she says are like "tap dance" shoes. I took a few photos of her before leaving for school and printed three of them for this layout. It is a simple layout that you can recreate for any theme, so let's talk about how I made this page.

Hope you are having a beautiful day! I'm very happy to share with you a layout I made with My Creative Scrapbook September Main Kit featuring Jen Hadfield. This kit was a little challenging for me because I don't usually use brown in my projects. This was my first creation and after finishing it, I was in love with the result. The combination of colors works so well and the brown was a neutral color that helps everything be balance. Sometimes it is nice to work out of your comfort zone and try new things, you could be surprised with the result! Now, let's talk about how I made this page.

As you may have noticed, I love using flowers in my layouts. The Floral Spring 1 is so pretty that I couldn't resist using it, but, let me tell you, this month they are releasing many beautiful florals, so don't miss them! It's time for a new layout using the beautiful cut files from JustNick Studio! Today, I'm sharing with you this page I made to document my daughter's New Smile. Recently she lost her second tooth and she was quite happy. After removing the tooth, I took these pictures to remember how happy she was of not having this tooth moving in her mouth. We were in the car, waiting for some food when she told me it was painful. When I checked it, the tooth was holding by a tiny corner, so I grabbed a napkin and pulled it. She was scared at first, but then happy due to not having it anymore. But now, let's talk about how I made this page.

It is one of those layouts that you imagine in your head when you see the a special paper and thankfully it came out as you imagine it. When I received the August Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook, I checked all the papers, and saw the paper with the rainbow and fell in love with it. The truth is, I didn't want to use it as it is, I wanted to create my own rainbow and this is what came out of it. I have to tell you, I love the colors, the textures, and how cute this layout turned out, so let's talk about how I made this page and watch me creating it in the process video at the end.

Hi! I'm back again, this time with the second option I made for the summer cover of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. As mentioned in my previous post, I was invited to create one of the layouts they would consider for the cover and I was so happy, that I made two layouts to choose one for the submission. Thankfully they helped me choose one, because the votes at home were divided. The chosen one was the layout with the sunflowers cluster, but this one also reflects my style and I didn't want to throw it away so I decided to re-use it with new journaling and a photo of my daughters. The layout below is the re-used one and the other is the original (girl with sunflower). Stay with me, and let's talk about this layout!
Hello! Today I'm sharing with you a special layout. Well, this is the first of two layouts I made for the Summer cover of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. With every issue, they invite three designers to create a page that can be the cover of the magazine. You can imagine how surprised and happy I was to be considered for this. Mine was not the winner, but it was an amazing opportunity because I was considered alongside two other talented and well known scrapbookers like Nathalie DeSousa and Brianna Lepper. When they contacted me, I was so thrilled that I decided to make two layouts and choose one of them, so I made this with sunflowers to match the provided photo, and another with bright colors. I sent both layouts for them to choose which one they prefer, and the sunflower layout was the chosen one.
I wanted to re-use the layout, but this time with a photo of my daughters. Here in this post, you can see the original version published in the magazine and how I modified it with a photo of my daughters and new journaling, everything else is the same. Below you can see the re-used layout. I choose this photo because my toddler was wearing a sunflowers dress, this way the theme will work perfectly. So, let's check both layouts and talk about the design!

This design is beautiful, it has the word "summer" three times and they are joined together. I cut it in a large size to make it stand out, but this leaves only a small space for the photo and embellishments. Anyway, I love how this turned out and how fun and summery it looks, so let's talk about how I made it!

Hope you are having a beautiful day. In this post, I'm sharing with you my latest album. It is big, the covers are 7" x 9" and the interior pages are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". I designed it a few months ago using black cardstock and chipboard and left it in my area, waiting until I had some time and a beautiful collection to cover and embellish it with, so when I received the gorgeous June Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook I thought they will work perfect together. For the cover, I made a shaker and embellished it with the die cuts and chipboards in the kit.

As you may have noticed, I love using flowers in my layouts and when I saw this month's My Creative Scrapbook Main Kit, the first thing I did was fussy cut the whole floral paper, including the tiny flowers. It took me a while but it was worth it. Once I had the flowers ready, I started designing with the kit. To create this layout, I was inspired by the sketch of the month designed by Laura Creates. I made a few changes, but you can see the sketch design throughout my layout. This month I was invited to guest design for Cut To You and I asked Gwen, the designer and owner if I can do "Magical Moments" layouts and she agreed. I was so happy and totally inspired! As you may know, I love everything about this magical place and have tons of photos from all the vacation trips we have done there, and with all the beautiful cut files she has in the store, I had my head full of ideas making it hard for me to choose which cut files to use, since they are so versatile and can be adapted easily. After a lot of thought, let's share my first layout. This time, I'm using the Banner of Love cut file and you can find the process video of this layout at the end of this post.
