Love You Layout

Hi!

How are you?  Hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I'm celebrating Three Kings Day with my family, but it started a little different.  We woke up today at 6:32 am with an earth quake of 5.8, but thanks to God everything is okay and we are praying that nothing worse happens here in Puerto Rico.  Anyway, I'm here today to share with you a layout I made about my love for my family.  It was featured in the Winter 2019 issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine.

To create this layout, I used the Pebbles Love Me patterned paper pad.  Those papers are super cute and to make them better some of the designs have foil.

For the background I added white gesso to the paper.  Once it was dry, used Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy and Shimmerz in Pink, Naughty or Nice, and Pop Art.  When the paint dried, I did some paint splatters in the same colors.

I used Paige Evans' Heart Confetti stencil in the background with Shimmerz Dazzler Puttin' On the Glitz.  It can't be appreciated in the photo very well but it's in there.

Then, I cut the paper to 11 1/4" x 11 1/4", added it to the red hearts paper, cut two stripes of the foiled hearts paper at 1 1/2" x 11 1/4", teared the edges, and added them to the layout.  After that, I cut stripes of the text paper, teared the edges and placed them between the foil heart paper and the white background paper.

When the papers were all glued and ready, I used my sewing machine to create the red border around the layout.  After that, I added the cut file with the photos to the page using foam adhesive. The "Love You" cut file is from Paige Evans, I cut it large enough to have space in the heart area for the photos.

To give the cut file more texture and interest I did some chain stitching around the letters using the six strands of the embroidery floss. Then, I adhered the cut file using foam adhesive.

To embellish the layout, I used the die cuts from the collection, to enhance them I added lines using a Uniball white gel pen and Pigma Micron in black. Those die cuts are very cute, they have glitter, so they don't need much more.

Once everything was glued to the page, I added some drops using Tonic Studio's Nuvo in Bubblegum Blush, Simply White, Red Berry, and Carnation Pink.

Thank you for visiting my blog, hope you like this layout and it inspires you to create!  I'll be posting another layout this week so stay tuned.
