Snapshots Layout

Hello! Documenting everyday life is important for me. This is why I'm always taking photos to capture our story. Then, I can look back at those photos and remember the moments. In today's layout, I'm using three photos of my daughter with her toy cat. That day, she dressed by herself and combed her hair. Then she asked me to photograph her. We went outside and did a mini photo session, we enjoyed the moment, and the photos turned out super cute. For this layout, I'm using the gorgeous Documented collection by Bella Blvd

I started this layout using the paper with the scalloped border as my background. Since the paper had a thin white border around it, I decided to fussy cut around the scallops to remove the white and use pink paper instead. To make the pink area bigger, I separated the scalloped frame from the grid area. Then, I removed one scallop from each side of the frame and reduced the grid paper to be able to fit the scalloped frame around it again. Once the background was ready, I selected two die cut Polaroid frames from the collection to display two of the photos. For the third photo, I printed it bigger and used a black polka dot paper to mat it.

Before adding the photos to the layout, I used three strips of paper in different color to give the photos an anchoring place and to make the layout more colorful and interesting. You can find a red horizontal strip in the lower area and two vertical strips going from the top to the bottom. Those strips have the bottom edge notched giving the layout movement.

Then, I used elements from all the embellishments packs available in the collection. I enjoy mixing the products to make the clusters more interesting and to give the layout different textures. You can see flowers made of chipboard, die cuts, cardstock stickers, puffy stickers, and from the Bella Pops. Also, you can find other elements like hearts, dots, paper clips and butterflies.

To balance the layout, I used a big blue paper clip from die cuts on top of the bigger photo and a cluster in the corner to connect the photos with the title.

The title I used is from the die cuts pack. I love how the bright navy blue pops in the layout. Behind most of the embellishments, I used foam tape since it is an easy way to add dimension to the projects.

In the upper part of the layout, I added two butterflies to fill the empty space there. The small butterfly was fussy cut from a cardstock sticker circle, and the big butterfly is from the chipboard pack. I draw small, dashed lines under the butterflies to create the illusion of movement in the layout.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout as much as I do, and it inspires you to craft. Come back soon for more inspiration, and have a wonderful day!
