Hello Princess Layout

 Hi!

How are you today? I hope you are having a great day! Today is my third day in a row sharing a layout using a sketch from Allison Davis class using 6" x 6" paper pads to create 12" x 12" layouts. This is sketch #12, now I'm 4 layouts behind to catch up with the class. For this layout I made some minor changes that I will explain since I can't share with you the original sketch because this is a paid class.

The papers used in this layout are from Echo Park Little Dreamer collection. I used the 6" x 6" pad but also a 12" x 12" sheet of navy paper to create the mat for the triangles. One of the things I did  different from the sketch was adding a patterned paper triangle in the title area. The sketch design suggested to leave it with the background mat (navy paper) and stitch a triangle on it to help it stand out. But since I love paper so much, I decided to use a patterned paper triangle and stitched a border around all of them. Another thing different is the stitched border around the navy paper.

To help the papers stand out, I used the navy paper for contrast and distressed the edges of all the papers. Then, I fussy cut flowers from one of the 12" x 12" papers and used them to create the clusters in the corners.

The journaling was supposed to go on top and bottom of the title, but I decided to maintain it in the bottom part only and used the top part for some additional embellishments. The last difference is that I added a few embellishments through the layout like the circle on top of the photo, the magic wand, the shoe, the mirror, and the crown. Those embellishments are from an old Simple Stories collection named Enchanted. The hearts are also from the collection and the puffy ones are from Jen Hadfield. At the end, I added paint splatters in gold using Shimmerz Miner, Miner 49er.

I love how this layout looks because it has many things that I enjoy like the flowers, hearts, and patterned papers. Hopefully you like this layout as much as I do and it inspires you to craft. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for another layout.
