Love My Family Forever

Hello friend! It's Rebeca Ruiz with you today sharing my first layout for 2025 using the stunning Front Porch collection by Simple Stories. When I saw this collection, I was excited because it is perfect to document daily life and family memories. The cute birds, butterflies, doilies, and lace are so pretty that it is hard to choose only one when embellishing the projects, I want to use all of them as I did in this layout I'm sharing with you today.

I started by choosing two photos, one for the yellow doily chipboard frame and the other in a landscape orientation to place it on the side. Since I'm a paper lover, I chose three different patterned papers from the 6x8 pad to mat the photo, and I distressed the edges of all of them for texture.

For the background, I used paint and three patterned papers from the collection kit. First, I used mint and gold paints to add a little bit of color to the white cardstock. Then, I added the wood grain paper with a torn edge on the bottom. After that, I added the blush plaid paper and finally the blue floral strip. To continue with the same style, I distressed the edges of all the papers, giving the layout a vintage and elegant touch that I love in my layouts.

In the bottom and top edge of the layout, I tore the white cardstock and backed it with a piece of blue polka dot paper to balance the page. Once all the papers were ready, I started embellishing the layout.

I used different products like the yellow and blush rub-ons on the right side of the layout. For the title I used a foam sticker and a cardstock sticker. The butterflies, bird, flowers, branches, label, and scalloped border are all from the die cuts. The red strip is from the washi tapes, and the hearts are from the foam stickers.

I finished the layout by adding a few brads and enamel dots. They are the perfect detail to finish any project!

I love creating with this collection. The papers and embellishments are simply irresistible, once you start creating with them, you are going to find it hard to stop.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout, and it inspires you to craft. Don't forget to come back soon for more inspiration!
