Yo Me Quedo En Casa Layout

Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a beautiful day! We are safe at home in our 9th day of curfew. For us it is not hard because we always spend a lot of time at home, together. But, like many of you, we are really worried about this COVID-19 virus, and what is going to happen. We are praying for this to pass fast, for a cure, for a miracle and no more deaths. We are doing our part, we are staying at home to save our lives and the lives of others. In these days, I've seen many people sharing lots of beautiful layouts and projects but I barely have time to craft, I've been playing with Barbies, puzzles, coloring, playing pretend, and more. My husband is working from home and has a lot of conference calls and my daughter is taking classes virtually so I have to do the normal chores of the house, cook as always (breakfast, lunch, dinner) but the hardest part is having my toddler daughter quiet for them to do their work. She loves to run wild around the house and be loud. Sadly, the whole week was windy with some raining, making it hard to take her outside of the house (to the yard) to play and burn some energy.

Machine Stitching on Paper Tutorial with Video

Hi!

A few weeks ago I started working on this video tutorial to show you how I use the sewing machine to stitch on paper. I started scrapbooking at the end of 2004/beginning of 2005 and since that moment I was hooked on it and all the versatility it involves, like incorporating other crafts in it. Since the beginning I started stitching in my projects and loved the look it adds to my layouts, which is why most of my pages include some stitching.

I've Been Featured in SCT Magazine Spring 2020!

Hi!

Today is a great day! It's a new opportunity to create memories and enjoy the company of our loved ones, including taking time for ourselves, doing what we enjoy. And what better way than having a new issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine Spring 2020, especially if you are staying at home to prevent the quick spread of Covid-19! This issue, as always, is full of beautiful and inspiring projects,  they have created an amazing magazine to share with all of us, scrapbookers and paper crafters.

Harry Potter Mini Album with Video

Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a great day! Here in Puerto Rico we are in quarantine since last Sunday so I'm taking some time to update my YouTube channel, creating voice over in Spanish for the process videos and also made a new video for the Harry Potter album because the one I shared previously was not the best.

Always Be Kind Layout

Hi!

Last week I saw A Cherry On Top challenge on Instagram, using a Page Maps sketch. I'm a fan and follower of  Page Maps sketches since 2005. I love their sketches because they are easy to follow, make the photo the center of attention, and most of the time they include two photos or more. For this challenge the sketch is for two photos, so I started searching for photos and found these of my daughter from last December when she cut her hair for the fourth time to donate it.  We are very proud and happy of her great heart, so I decided to make this layout to always remember this special moment.  And check the process video at the end of this post, maybe you learn something or it inspires you!

Happy Little Moments Layout with Process Video

Hi!

In 2018 we visited Orlando, Florida and I took some time for shopping since we only have a few local scrapbook stores in Puerto Rico.  One of the stores I visited was Tuesday Morning.  There, I found many old Echo Park Paper kits for $5 or $6 and I bought some of them, including the one I'm using in this layout, named Fine and Dandy.  It was an old collection, but it's still pretty and works perfectly for girly projects like the layout I'm sharing today, titled Happy Little Moments.  You can find a process video of the layout at the end of this post.
