Christmas Cards Part 3

 Hi!

In November 2020, I started designing for Miss Kate Designs, and their products are amazing, and their die cuts are so cute! They are perfect for doing cards without taking the time to paint the images. I enjoy painting, but my time is so limited that I prefer to use it in other things, instead of painting, this is why I went crazy with their die cuts and made a lot of Christmas cards this year. Here are four more cards I made.

Christmas Tags

 Hi!

Today is the last day of 2020, which means this year is finally coming to an end! I hope 2021 will be better and the Covid-19 pandemic will come to an end. In the meantime, let's continue crafting and doing what we enjoy to be distracted. Here are two Christmas tags I made last week and forgot to share with you.

Santa Mini Album (Video and Tutorial)

 Hi!

It's almost Christmas and I'm behind on all my scrapbook stuff. I planned a lot of things but only made a few of them, I think my mind is faster with ideas than the time available to execute them. Anyway, last week I shared with you a cute Winter mini album titled Cold Days. To make the video tutorial I made a second mini album and I have it in my desk, so I decided to mat it using Christmas papers from Miss Kate, using colors and embellishments that I can use for our photos. Since we live in a Caribbean Island, we don't have snow and sadly I haven't traveled yet to any place with snow, hopefully soon we can do it!

Cold Days Mini Album (Tutorial and Videos)

 Hi!

As a paper crafter, I love beautiful papers and embellishments. Just by seeing them I get inspired, and this is what happened to me with this beautiful Cold Days collection by Miss Kate Designs. The colors and designs in the collection are so pretty that despite not having any photos in the snow, I decided to create a cute mini album to use this collection. At the end of this post you can see a flip through video of the album. But because it is Christmas, I want to give you the instructions of this mini album so you can make it too. Check the tutorial video of how to make it and the PDF's instructions available in English and Spanish.

Merry Christmas Layout with Process Video

Hi!

A few days ago I cut the Merry Christmas title from Miss Kate Cuttables. This is one of her latest cut files and I love they include the backing. I chose to cut the backing in one of my all time favorite Christmas paper designs, red with white polka dots. Having the backing file was a great advantage because this way I spend less time making the title. However, I left everything on the side, because it was weekend and we did some shopping, cleaning, and had some family time at home watching TV, playing and talking. Anyway, back to the layout! Yesterday, while homeschooling my toddler, I started designing this layout and recorded the process, so you can see the video at the end of this post.

You Make My Heart Flutter Mini Album

Hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! I've been busy with the daily chores and getting ready for Christmas, but I managed to finish a mini album I started a few months ago and decided to make a quick tutorial on how to assemble the mini album. First, I want to let you know that the idea of this mini album is from Heidi Swapp. I saw her class in Scrapbook.com and decided to try it. What I like about this mini album is how quickly it can by assembled because it is made out of A2 cards.  At the end of this post you can see the video tutorial.

It's Beginning To Look.... Layout with Process Video

 Hi

I'm with the Christmas spirit on high so I grabbed some photos of last year. We were waiting for our traditional family photo with Santa, but in the meantime we took some photos in a decorated area they had available. I like how colorful and bright those photos turned out, and decided to scrap them using Miss Kate Design Deck The Halls papers and die cuts which are beautiful and the colors are amazing! I took some photos of the layout, but there is also a process video at the end of this post. Go check it out and don't forget to like it!

Merry Christmas Mini Album with Video

 Hi!

How are you? I'm happy to share with you a Christmas mini album I finished for Miss Kate Designs. I made this cute mini album using the gorgeous Festive Christmas Collection. In the kit you get 18 double sided 12" x 12" patterned papers,  cover sheet that have patterned paper printed in the back and the 8" x 12" sticker sheet. Also, I used the die cut from Festive Christmas and Santa. Those products are gorgeous, the colors are bright and happy and the designs are so cute! You can see the album in the next photos and I prepared a flip through video you can find at the end of this post. If you want to buy those products, use my affiliate link, also available in margin of the blog, and use code: rebeca10 to get 10% discount in orders of $45 or more which also qualifies for free shipping!

Hugs & Kisses Layout with Process Video

 Hi

Hope you are having a great day! This week I'm sharing a new layout I made with the gorgeous Daydream collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. This papers are so pretty, that the layouts came out easily. In this layout I used one photo of my girls, used a border/edge punch and did a little bit of mixed media. You can see the process in the video at the end of this post.

You Are My Sunshine Layout with Process Video

 Hi!

At the beginning of October I received my order from A Cherry On Top with the gorgeous Daydream Collection by Cocoa Vanilla. I'm a fan of Cocoa Vanilla collections but sadly I can't find them here in Puerto Rico. The few scrapbook stores in the island don't carry them, so when ACOT announced the pre-order I was so happy! I pre-ordered practically everything (except for the sequins) and I purchased a lot of the papers. I went crazy, but now I have enough to make a ton of layouts with these papers without fearing to run short on them. This means, you are going to see me creating many layouts and stuff with them. This is my first layout with this collection. I just wanted to use it and create something, so this is a simple, clean, but lovely layout for my daughters. At the end of this post you can see the process video for this layout, don't miss it!

Christmas Cards Part 2

Hi!

How are you? I'm back today to share with you the last three Christmas cards I prepared for Miss Kate Designs. Yesterday I shared the first three, if you haven't seen them, check my previous post. As I mentioned yesterday, me doing Christmas cards after all these years is a miracle, but I'm so happy I made them, that maybe soon I'll share a few more cards, I feel pumped. Do you like making your cards? Are you getting ready for Christmas?

Christmas Cards Part 1

 Hi!

Are you getting ready for Christmas? I started working with this year's Christmas cards. In the past, I used to prepare them, but I had stopped until now. Last week, when I received the Miss Kate Designs box and saw the cute Santa Claus die cuts, I knew I wanted to use them for Christmas cards. This is a miracle, but this die cuts are so beautiful and perfect for cards that I got inspired. The cards turned out so pretty that just seeing them put a smile in my face, waiting for Christmas. Now the question is, since they are so cute, would I be able to give them away? Let's see what happens...

Miss Kate Design Team and Products Show

 Hi!

How are you? I'm very happy to announce that recently I was invited to join the design team of Miss Kate Designs, and I accepted! I've been a follower and client of Miss Kate for a long time and it was a surprise when they contacted me. I love their products! I'm a collector of their SVG's, they are so cute! Also, I love their paper collections and die cuts. Their designs are amazing, full of details, with great colors and quality, and different from what you usually see in the market.

I Heart Family Layout (Hidden Journaling and Video)

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! I'm very happy to share with you a layout I made yesterday in between home chores. I used "The Avenue" collection by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles Inc. to create this layout as the October Guest Designer of A Cherry On Top. Since I was making this layout between chores and homeschooling my toddler, I was not able to record the process, but I did a quick video showing how I made the shaker heart and a closer look to the layout and the hidden journaling. Stay with me as I guide you through it.

You & Me Happy Together Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a great Monday! I'm back at the blog to share with you a new layout I made as the October Guest Designer for A Cherry On Top. This time, I made a layout using a cut file, a little bit of paint and lots of patterned papers and embellishments from The Avenue Collection by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles. I recorded the process, which you can see in the video at the end of this post.

Shine Bright Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a good day! I'm back at the blog this week to share a beautiful double spread layout I made to continue with  Allison Davis' class "6" x 6" Pads for Layouts". This is my layout 16 of 20. I'm almost finished with the class, I can't believe it! For these pages I used the 6" x 8" pad of the Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection and a few scraps from the 12" x 12" papers of the same collection.

Hello Layout with Process Video

 Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a great day! Today I'm sharing with you a layout I made as A Cherry On Top Guest Designer for October 2020. I titled the layout "Hello" because it is about my daughter, who is always with her phone, but rarely uses it to talk. But a few days ago, she received a call from one of her friends and she was so happy talking that I grabbed my phone and took a few photos (this is why the light and quality of the photos are not the best). Anyway, I managed to use them for this page and I love how it turned out! At the end of the post you can find the process video of this layout, so please check it out.

Science Fair Layout (Published in SCT Magazine)

Hi!

A few weeks ago I was looking through some photos and found these of my daughter working on the Science Fair. She loves science, and doing experiments is something she enjoys and loves. I thought it would be nice to create a double spread with some of those photos. Since this year so many things happened, first with the earthquakes and then the Covid-19, the school was not able to give the students the prizes. In June, I received an email with a Certificate Award saying she won First Place. It was good news and memories, so this layout is to remember all of that, and I printed the certificate as a photo to include it in the layout. This layout was featured in Scrapbook and Cards Magazine Summer 2020 issue on page 64.

You Are Loved Layout

Hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm here today to share with you my first layout as the October 2020 Guest Designer for A Cherry On Top. I was given a $50 gift certificate to choose products from the store and I ordered The Avenue collection by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles because it is so versatile, giving me more options to work with. This collection is gorgeous, I love the amazing color palette and the variety of designs, including florals and butterflies. This collection is great to make projects of all themes and is full of beautiful embellishments from die cuts, stickers, and alphas.

Rise and Shine Layout

 Hi!

During this eternal quarantine we are living with this Covid-19 situation, I've been so busy at home that when I had time to craft I didn't record anything, but last week I decided to record myself and create a process video of this layout I'm sharing today. You can find the video at the end of this post. This layout is simple, it looks busy with so much stuff, but it's a quick and easy page. The photo is of my daughter, who loves to be free in nature, running and enjoying the moment.

Hamilton Layout

 Hi!

In 2019, Hamilton was presented in Puerto Rico with Lin-Manuel interpreting Alexander Hamilton, but sadly we were not able to purchase the tickets online because they were sold out in a few minutes. We were sad because our daughter is a huge fan of Lin-Manuel and Hamilton and we wanted to purchase the tickets for her. But then, while the musical was presented in the Island, we found out they were selling a bunch of tickets in the theater for walk ins. This was the perfect, and only, opportunity to see Hamilton with Lin Manuel and here in Puerto Rico, so my husband and daughter woke up at 4:00 am and went to Bellas Artes Puerto Rico to make the line. They arrived at the theater around 5:30 am, and there were a lot of people already waiting in line. Anyways, I arrived later, after leaving the baby with my mom, and we were able to purchase the tickets for the second performance. It was amazing, and seeing the happiness in my daughter's face was the best part. It was worth every penny!

HO HO HO Layout

 Hi!

I'm back in the blog to share this Christmas layout I made using Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole collection. I did a bit of mixed media to create this page to showcase the photos of my daughters the night before Christmas, after they left cookies and milk for Santa under the tree.

Ready For Santa Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! I'm sharing today a Christmas layout I made using the beautiful Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole collection. I fell in love with this collection as soon as  they announced it, so I purchased it a few weeks ago, but it was not until the past weekend I started working with it. I love when the Christmas collections include cute Santa's! This is why the first layout I made with this collection is this one, Ready for Santa, which features a big Santa printed on the paper's left side.

Merry Christmas Card

 Hi!

It's been a long time since I made a card but this Simple Stories collection is so pretty and has so many cute, small details that it's perfect to create a few cards. I just made one, but I'm sure I'll be making a few more once I create some layouts with it.

Zoom Interview Layout

 Hi

I'm back today at the blog, to share with you this layout I created for my daughter. The photos are from her first interview and since we are with this Covid-19 Pandemic, it had to be by Zoom. She was in the second phase elimination for a Science and Astronomy Camp at the Arecibo Observatory. It was her fist time participating in the program and she was very nervous. This time she was not chosen, but she did an awesome job and we are very proud of her. This page was made to document this special moment in her life.

Daddy's Little Helper Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great week! I'm very happy, it's almost weekend and there is no class tomorrow for the girls, which gives me a little bit more time for myself! Last week I started another double spread layout using a sketch from the Allison Davis class "Sketches for 6" x 6" Paper Pads". The class consist of 20 sketches and I already completed 14, that's pretty good for me! This is the first time I'm completing a sketch class.

A Princess and Her Carriage Layout

 Hi!

How are you? I'm great! This time I'm sharing the fifth and last layout I made last month using the Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketches. Now I need to continue with the class, there are seven more double spread layouts I haven't made, but hopefully I'll be able to finish them soon, since I have all the photos printed and our daily schedule is running well. This means, I'll be having more crafting time!

Sweet Pajama Twins Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! This time I'm sharing the fourth layout from the last month using Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketches Class. For this layout I used photos of my baby playing with her doll while they both wear the same pajama.

Make Your Own Magic Layout

 Hi!

Hope your are doing great! Here I am again, with the third layout I finished during the past month using the Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketch Class. This time, I used photos of my girls one day we were doing a road trip around Rincón, Puerto Rico and we passed near a beach. Since it was practically empty, we decided to stop and let the girls soak their feet. They were so happy to finally feel the water; because of the Covid the government restricted using the beaches and we prefer to stay away from people to avoid catching the virus.

Everyday Adventures Layout

 Hi!

How are you? Now I'm sharing the second layout, titled Everyday Adventures. It's about my toddler daughter who loves to paint her nails, specially with purple nail polish for kids, which are amazing because they clean up with just water!

Smile, Happiness is Eating Donuts Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are healthy and having a great day! I've been busy at home doing all the normal routines, cleaning more since everybody is 24/7 at home and now with one of  the girls doing virtual school and me homeschooling our toddler. This leaves me with less time to craft, but I manage to find some time to scrapbook. I think from now on, it is going to be easier, since the daily routine is running fine and the girls are doing pretty well in school!.During the past month I finished five double spread layouts, but it was not until this weekend that I finally photographed them. I made them using Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketches class.

This layout is titled Smile, Happiness is Eating Donuts. I'm not a fan of donuts, but my daughters surely are. They love going out for donuts and they enjoy eating every piece of them. Those photos are from January 2020, before the Covid Pandemic, this was the last time they ate donuts inside Krispy Kreme, now we go to the drive through and eat them in the car or at home. I still don't want to take them inside any restaurant or store, until all this stuff is under control.

Don't Worry Beach Happy Layout (Published in SCT Magazine)

Hi!

Welcome to my blog! Hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm here today to share with you my newest layout. It is titled Don't Worry Beach Happy. I made this layout for my daughter who loves going to the beach. Those photos are from 2019; we live near a lot of beautiful beaches but I'm not a fan of the sand. After all the hard situations we have lived since 2017, I'm thinking I should enjoy more all the beauties we have in this paradise we live. In the end, with water and soap, we can clean all the mess of the sand, lol.

Beautiful Lipstick Diva Layout

 Hi!

Today I'm back again, sharing with you another double spread layout I made. I've been working with the Allison Davis Sketches for 6" x 6" Pads Class, this is why I'm making double layouts recently. The sketch I used for this layout is my favorite so far. I like that it can be used many times, for many different themes, showcasing the photos, papers and embellishments. This layout turned out so pretty. I love the look of a pretty and clean layout!

Awesome Pool Day Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are doing great! Today I'm back at the blog to share with you a double spread layout I made using another sketch from the Allison Davis class Sketches for 6" x 6" pads. It's a very simple and clean layout, I decided to use photos of my family in the pool. They are not the best quality photos but since I had them already printed, I used them.

Yummy Layout

Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! Today I'm sharing a layout I made last week but didn't have the opportunity to share it until today. It's about my daughter, making her first lemon meringue pie all by herself. She loves to make desserts, and she loves lemons, so making this pie was the perfect opportunity for me to take some photos and document this especial moment.

My Oh My What a Wonderful Day! Layout

Hi!

How are you? Hope you are healthy and having a great day! I'm back in the blog with another layout I made using Allison Davis Sketches for 6" x 6" Pads class. This is sketch 6 of 20. In this layout, I also used photos of our trip to Disney in 2018, but this time they are from Magic Kingdom.

Day of Fun at Epcot Layout

Hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Last week I continued working with the Allison Davis Sketches for 6" x 6" Pads class to catch up since the class is already in week 8. This is sketch 5 of 20. I used photos of us at Epcot from 2018 because I ordered a lot of prints in 2019 and still have them waiting for me to scrapbook.

Magical Happiness Layout

Hi!

Hope you are healthy and having a great day! Today, I'm here to share with you a layout I started a few weeks ago and left in my desk, but yesterday I managed to finish it. To create this layout, I used a sketch by Alison Davis class, Sketches for 6" x 6" Pads for Scrapbook Generation. The class includes 20 sketches, this is #4, so you'll be seeing some double sketches in the next weeks.

Family Layout

Hi!

Today I'm sharing a layout about my family during Thanksgiving 2019, when one of my sisters and nephew came to spend the day with us. It was very nice to have them and hopefully this year they can travel to Puerto Rico, if this Covid-19 virus gets under. I prepared the food and we had lunch at our home. To create this layout, I was inspired by a sketch from Page Maps. I substitute the stitches circles by the leaves wreath and added the flower clusters in the corners.

LOVE Layout

Hi!

How are you? I'm happy today to share with you a new layout I made using one of Paige's Evans 14 Days of Valentine cut files, available at her Etsy shop. This file is part of a Valentine's set, but since Love is an all time expression, I adapted it for a Fall/Blessing theme layout.

Baking Bread & Killing It Layout

Hi!

It's been a long time since my last post. Hope you are healthy and having a great day. I've been busy cleaning at home after the Sahara Dust hit us for a few days. That was horrible, we were at home, practically all windows closed but it was so intense that the windows, curtains, screens, floor, and everything had dust on it.  But I'm back to share with you a double spread layout I made using the third sketch from the Allison Davis class 6" x 6" for Double Layouts for Scrapboook Generation.

Fun Day Layout

Hi!

How are you? I'm trying to catch up with the Sketches for 6" x 6" Pads by Allison Davis for Scrapbook Generation. Today I'm here to share with you my version of sketch 2. The class is about creating double spread layouts using 6" x 6" paper pads, and I'm trying to do that using 6" x 6" or 6" x 8" paper pads I have in my stash. For this layout, I used a pad from Bella Blvd Secrets of the Sea collection.

Covid-19 Layout

Hi!
Here is the second layout I've made using the Photo Play Living the Quarantine Life collection. As mentioned in my previous post, I want to use these coronavirus related collections as quickly as possible. This is why, both layouts were made quickly, to document the hard times we are living. In Puerto Rico, where we live, the curfew started on March 16 and this week (June 16), the government started to soften it. So it has been very long days at home trying to enjoy as much time together as possible since we can't go anywhere. For me, it's a very long Summer that started in March, with both girls at home and my husband working from here. Sometimes it is hard, because of the difference in age between them, a toddler and a teenager, but until now, we have managed it well. Thank God, we love being at home, it's our normal, and we are blessed to have many things to do here, which helps a lot!

Stay Safe and Create Layout

Hi!

Last week I received the new Photo Play Living the Quarantine Life collection. It's a very small collection with only 4 double sided patterned papers and the die cuts, but they are so pretty! I already made two layouts with the kit and still have enough paper for a few more layouts. Today I'm sharing the first layout I made, titled Stay Safe and Create.

Books Are Magical Adventures Layout

Hello!

How are you doing? Today is a beautiful sunny day in Puerto Rico and we are doing great! Recently I bought a sketch class from Scrapbook Generation designed by Allison Davis. The idea of the class is to use the 6" x 6" pads to create double spread layouts. I decided to purchase it to push myself to use those pads I've had in my stash for a long time and to create some double layouts. This post is for the fist sketch, I'll be doing my best to make at least one of the 20 sketches included in the class per week.

Bundle of Joy Layout

Hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Last week was a busy one with little time to scrapbook, but I managed to finish this layout for my baby girl. I used papers from different companies, created my background, and used a cut file from the Silhouette store.

Hope Layout

Hi!

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! For me, it's been a relaxing day at home with my family watching TV and enjoying time together. While watching TV in the family room, where I have my crafting table, I finished this layout I'm sharing with you today, titled Hope. It's a layout about our new normal style of life, using face masks when going out, and living very different as we used to because of COVID-19. I made this page for my daughters, to remember these hard days of quarantine, curfew, restrictions, having everything closed here in Puerto Rico, and them not able to enter any place; not visiting family, working, and studying from home, etc.

Love This Layout

Hi!

How are you doing? We are still in quarantine, but this week the government allowed some commerce to start working and bringing their services. Hopefully, soon, everything will be more "normal". I have only gone to the supermarket, pharmacy, and postal office, trying to maintain the social distancing as much as I can. Here, on this post, I want to share with you a layout I made about me using some of the techniques I love the most. Check it here and continue reading to know all the details of how I made it and the products I used.
