Hello Lovely Layout

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing with you my first layout as part of the Simple Stories 2023 Design Team! This layout is titled "Hello Lovely" and I made it using the stunning "Simple Vintage Life in Bloom" collection. I love everything about this collection. For me, it is a must have, like a collectible item for paper crafters! All the papers and embellishments are so pretty that I wanted to use them all, but for this layout I started with the chipboard frame, then move forward to create this gorgeous layout. Hope you are having a wonderful day! Here in Puerto Rico it is very hot, so what better than scrapbook a beach photo while remembering those memories? Today, I'm sharing with you a layout I designed for JustNick Studio using two of their newest cut files and a photo of my husband and daughters having fun at the beach. I'm back at the blog with my second "Magical Moment" project as a guest designer for Cut To You. This time I'm using the "My Happy Place" title to create this beautiful page of me and my daughter wearing gold pink ears. This month I was invited to guest design for Cut To You and I asked Gwen, the designer and owner if I can do "Magical Moments" layouts and she agreed. I was so happy and totally inspired! As you may know, I love everything about this magical place and have tons of photos from all the vacation trips we have done there, and with all the beautiful cut files she has in the store, I had my head full of ideas making it hard for me to choose which cut files to use, since they are so versatile and can be adapted easily. After a lot of thought, let's share my first layout. This time, I'm using the Banner of Love cut file and you can find the process video of this layout at the end of this post.

Splendid Layout with Process Video

Hope you are having a great day! Do you love using flowers and cut files in your layouts? I surely do, and when I'm able to add a bit of mixed media to the page I enjoy it more. In this layout titled "Splendid" I used all those elements that I enjoy playing with and added a few extra things to give this page lots of texture and dimension. The result is a gorgeous page that captures the viewer’s attention and can be accomplished with less effort! Hope you are having a great day! Today I'm back in the blog to share with you a gorgeous layout I made using My Creative Scrapbook April Main Kit featuring Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart. For this layout, I was focused on using the chipboard frames included in the kit and I had this idea of using them as the background in a way that they can be appreciated without subtracting importance from the photos, but enhance them instead. While making this page, I recorded the process, and you can see the video at the end of this post.

Fun Day Mini Album with Video and Tutorial

Have you seen the March Main Kit of My Creative Scrapbook? It is full of beautiful products and today I'm sharing with you a mini album I made with it. The photos of the mini album are from a school activity when my daughter was in third grade. She's in eleventh grade now. They are old photos that I never scrapbooked, but the papers in this kit are perfect for them since she was dressed as a cowgirl. 

For the cover, I made a shaker and decorated it with the alphas, die cuts, and chipboards from the kit. The gold leaves were heat embossed in vellum using the stamp set in the kit. If you want to learn how to make them, I prepared a video tutorial of how to emboss on vellum. You can find it at the end of the flip through video I'm sharing in this post.

Document Every Day Mini Album with Tutorial

Today I'm very happy to share with you my latest album designed with My Creative Scrapbook February Main Kit featuring Vicki Boutin's Fernwood collection. I also used a chipboard binder and pages inserts that are available as add-on with the kit purchase. This kit is gorgeous, the colors of the collection and all the designs make this kit a must have! I Heart Family Layout (Hidden Journaling and Video)

Hope you are having a great day! I'm very happy to share with you a layout I made yesterday in between home chores. I used "The Avenue" collection by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles Inc. to create this layout as the October Guest Designer of A Cherry On Top. Since I was making this layout between chores and homeschooling my toddler, I was not able to record the process, but I did a quick video showing how I made the shaker heart and a closer look to the layout and the hidden journaling. Machine Stitching on Paper Tutorial with Video

A few weeks ago I started working on this video tutorial to show you how I use the sewing machine to stitch on paper. I started scrapbooking at the end of 2004/beginning of 2005 and since that moment I was hooked on it and all the versatility it involves, like incorporating other crafts in it. Since the beginning I started stitching in my projects and loved the look it adds to my layouts, which is why most of my pages include some stitching.
