Sweeet Candy Double Layout

Hello!

Last year I was asked for a collaboration with the Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. The assignment was to create a double layout using the Sweet & Spooky collection by Doodlebug Designs. I was thrilled with the opportunity and made two different designs. These are the ones that made it into the Fall/Winter issue of the magazine, and they featured five photos of my daughter during Halloween. You can find the other double layout I made here.

Halloween Layout

Hello!

Halloween is coming up and a friend of mine always celebrates it. This time she dressed up her sweet girl as a pink pirate, isn't she adorable? I asked her for a few photos to create a double layout for them using the Sweet & Spooky collection by Doodlebug Designs. It is the cutest collection, and I had a great time creating with it.

Good Times Together Layout

Hello!

A few days ago, I was using the Simple Vintage Linen Market collection by Simple Stories to create a layout and it is so gorgeous that I continued working with it and made this double layout I'm sharing with you today. Lately they are designing papers that work perfectly for double layouts since one has a design on the left and the other on the right, making our creative process easier. While doing these pages, I recorded the process video, so if you want to see me in action, check it out at the end of this post.

Happy Day Double Spread Layout

Hello! I've been very busy lately and forgot to share with you these layouts I made and were published in the Spring/Summer 2024 issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. My layout was featured on page 66. It's a double spread using products from Echo Park Paper to document our visit to Universal Studios last year to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday and high school graduation. You can visit the Scrapbooks and Cards Today website to download the free digital version of the magazine of you can subscribe to the printed version. Don't miss it, it's a great source of inspiration!

Spring Time Smile Layout

Hello crafty friend! It's Rebeca Ruiz @rebeca_ruiz01 with you today in the blog. I'm very happy to share this layout I created using the Simple Vintage Spring Garden collection by Simple Stories. I love making layouts and this collection inspires me to create them easily. With all the beautiful embellishments in this collection, the hardest part was choosing which ones to use and when to stop because I enjoy adding little details to my projects. Let's see how I made this layout and if you want to watch me creating it, check the process video at the end of this post.

Believe Layout

Hello crafty friend! Rebeca Ruiz with you today to share a Christmas double spread layout using the beautiful December Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. To create this layout, I was inspired by one of the sketches provided with the kit this month. After finishing it, I decided to create the left side layout and made it a double spread. It was fun creating these pages and playing with all the products in the kit. Now, let's take a look at each layout and if you want to see how I made it, check the process video at the end.

Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2021 Project Share

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! I'm very happy because last weekend I did a lot of scrapbooking. I was attending my first Crop & Create Papercraft Event by Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine and two of my friends were at home with me doing scrapbooking. I have to tell you, the event was amazing. Very well organized, all the projects were gorgeous, high quality products (and lots of products), instructions, videos, lives, surprises, give aways and so much more! Stay with me during this post to see a short video with the 19 layouts, the Christmas mini album and two traveler's notebooks we made during the weekend.

Joy of Christmas Double Spread Layout

 Hi!

It's been a long time since I made a double spread layout but these Christmas photos required one. Every Christmas eve, we do a photo shoot of the girls leaving cookies and milk for Santa and then we prepare the tripod and camera to photograph us in front of the tree. This is a fun tradition because using the timer of the camera and having four people ready is not always easy, but it captures us, as we are and this is great!

Fun Times Double Layout

 Hi!

Welcome to my blog! Today's project is a double layout I made to preserve these beautiful photos of my husband and baby doing funny faces. They were taking a few selfies while I was photographing them too. Then, they noticed what I was doing and posed for a few extra shots. I love my family, they support my photographing obsessions, lol!

Shine Bright Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are safe and having a good day! I'm back at the blog this week to share a beautiful double spread layout I made to continue with  Allison Davis' class "6" x 6" Pads for Layouts". This is my layout 16 of 20. I'm almost finished with the class, I can't believe it! For these pages I used the 6" x 8" pad of the Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection and a few scraps from the 12" x 12" papers of the same collection.

Science Fair Layout (Published in SCT Magazine)

Hi!

A few weeks ago I was looking through some photos and found these of my daughter working on the Science Fair. She loves science, and doing experiments is something she enjoys and loves. I thought it would be nice to create a double spread with some of those photos. Since this year so many things happened, first with the earthquakes and then the Covid-19, the school was not able to give the students the prizes. In June, I received an email with a Certificate Award saying she won First Place. It was good news and memories, so this layout is to remember all of that, and I printed the certificate as a photo to include it in the layout. This layout was featured in Scrapbook and Cards Magazine Summer 2020 issue on page 64.

Hamilton Layout

 Hi!

In 2019, Hamilton was presented in Puerto Rico with Lin-Manuel interpreting Alexander Hamilton, but sadly we were not able to purchase the tickets online because they were sold out in a few minutes. We were sad because our daughter is a huge fan of Lin-Manuel and Hamilton and we wanted to purchase the tickets for her. But then, while the musical was presented in the Island, we found out they were selling a bunch of tickets in the theater for walk ins. This was the perfect, and only, opportunity to see Hamilton with Lin Manuel and here in Puerto Rico, so my husband and daughter woke up at 4:00 am and went to Bellas Artes Puerto Rico to make the line. They arrived at the theater around 5:30 am, and there were a lot of people already waiting in line. Anyways, I arrived later, after leaving the baby with my mom, and we were able to purchase the tickets for the second performance. It was amazing, and seeing the happiness in my daughter's face was the best part. It was worth every penny!

Daddy's Little Helper Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great week! I'm very happy, it's almost weekend and there is no class tomorrow for the girls, which gives me a little bit more time for myself! Last week I started another double spread layout using a sketch from the Allison Davis class "Sketches for 6" x 6" Paper Pads". The class consist of 20 sketches and I already completed 14, that's pretty good for me! This is the first time I'm completing a sketch class.

A Princess and Her Carriage Layout

 Hi!

How are you? I'm great! This time I'm sharing the fifth and last layout I made last month using the Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketches. Now I need to continue with the class, there are seven more double spread layouts I haven't made, but hopefully I'll be able to finish them soon, since I have all the photos printed and our daily schedule is running well. This means, I'll be having more crafting time!

Sweet Pajama Twins Layout

 Hi!

Hope you are having a great day! This time I'm sharing the fourth layout from the last month using Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketches Class. For this layout I used photos of my baby playing with her doll while they both wear the same pajama.

Make Your Own Magic Layout

 Hi!

Hope your are doing great! Here I am again, with the third layout I finished during the past month using the Allison Davis 6" x 6" Paper Pads Sketch Class. This time, I used photos of my girls one day we were doing a road trip around Rincón, Puerto Rico and we passed near a beach. Since it was practically empty, we decided to stop and let the girls soak their feet. They were so happy to finally feel the water; because of the Covid the government restricted using the beaches and we prefer to stay away from people to avoid catching the virus.

Everyday Adventures Layout

 Hi!

How are you? Now I'm sharing the second layout, titled Everyday Adventures. It's about my toddler daughter who loves to paint her nails, specially with purple nail polish for kids, which are amazing because they clean up with just water!
