Happy Day Double Spread Layout

Hello! I've been very busy lately and forgot to share with you these layouts I made and were published in the Spring/Summer 2024 issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. My layout was featured on page 66. It's a double spread using products from Echo Park Paper to document our visit to Universal Studios last year to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday and high school graduation. You can visit the Scrapbooks and Cards Today website to download the free digital version of the magazine of you can subscribe to the printed version. Don't miss it, it's a great source of inspiration!

Take a look into the double spread, isn't it gorgeous? With space for a lot of photos but also with tons of white space to give the eyes a resting place in between all the colors and designs. To create these pages, I mixed products from Wizard & Witches 1 and 2 collections, both from Echo Park Papers.

On the left side page, I added two photos, one if 4" x 6"and the other is 3" x 3". Also on this side, you can find the title, journaling and embellishments.

For the title, I used alphas from American Crafts. To create a little cluster in the title, I used a banner from the same Thickers and added a few stickers from the Echo Park Papers kits.

Then created another cluster in the corner using a cardstock frame and stickers.  The journaling was printed in white cardstock and cut into strips. To enhance the photos, I matted them in patterned paper and punch a notebook border into the cream paper for additional texture.

On the right side page I added three 3" x 3" photos, all matted with patterned paper.

A few stickers and die cuts were used on the top part to embellish it a little.

Then, on the right side corner, I made another little cluster to balance the pages. For that, I used another frame, stickers and die cuts. To play with the dimension on the page, I used foam tape behind some of the embellishments to create layers and interest.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like and enjoy this layout as much as I do, and it inspires you to craft! Come back some for more inspiration!
