It's My Bday! Layout

Hello! A few weeks ago, I made a layout using the Birthday Simple Set by Simple Stories and after finishing it, I started a second layout but left it unfinished until last week when I took some to add a few more embellishments and called it done. This time, I'm using photos of my little daughter from last year's birthday. I love the expressions in the photos and with this mini collection I was able to document those moments in a fun and beautiful way.

For the base of this layout, I used a Peony Color Vibe cardstock. Then, I started adding pieces of patterned paper.  On the top I added three different strips and notched the bottom edge to create the look of banners. After that, I used them to anchor the photos which were matted on a blue patterned paper.

For the right side, I used another three pieces of patterned paper and a scalloped border. This time, I notched the left edge of the strips to give them the banner look. In this area I added a bigger photo which was double matted in a yellow patterned paper and a dots paper.

To embellish the layout I used stickers from the kit and elements I fussy cut from the papers. Since  this is a birthday layout, the balloons are a perfect touch on top of the big photo and I added a tag with a bow to make the area prettier and balance the page.

On the top part I fussy cut a few banners from the paper and matted them in white cardstock to give them the appearance of being a sticker like the ones in the right. I used foam tape behind the banners for dimension.  A word sticker was added on top of the photo and I made a tag out of patterned paper to embellished right side of the photos a little. There, I added a cupcake fussy cut from a sticker and a few more details.

Bellow the photos, I added a sticker phrase and a few enamel dots and chipboards. Those are part of the Color Vibe Spring and Summer collections. The dark pink strip paper is from a Bubblegum Color Vibe cardstock. It matches perfectly with the collection!

Finally, for the title, I used stickers and mixed them with chipboards and enamel dots to make it more interesting. On the bottom edge of the page, I added the stripes paper, a piece of the Bubblegum Color Vibe cardstock and a scalloped border punch from the yellow paper in the kit.

That's all for this layout. I hope you like how it turned out and it inspires you to craft! Come back soon for more inspiration!
