You Sparkle Layout!

Hello! Today I have another 8 1/2" x 11" layout to share with you. This was the layout I submitted for the cover of the Spring/Summer 2024 issue of Scrapbooks and Cards Today Magazine. They invited three people to create a layout, and then they choose one to be in the cover and featured the other two layouts in the magazine. My layout didn't make it into the cover, but just by being invited and considered for it was an honor. You can imagine how happy and thrilled I was by receiving the invitation, wow! With no more furthers, here is my submission for the cover. I was provided with the adorable photo, the journaling and the title. If you want to see the magazine it is available i their website and you can download the digital version for free or subscribe to the printed version.

Well, after submitting the layout and got it back in my hands, I decided to repurpose it with a photo of my daughter. It was the only thing I changed.  I wanted to change the white background for a light color patterned paper everything was so well glued that I was not able to remove the papers strips, so I left it as it is because it looks cute and delicate, letting the photo be the focus of attention.
Most of the products in this layout are from the Fresh Air collection by Simple Stories. I used the patterned papers, chipboards, foam stickers, and die cuts. The title is a mix of stickers from Elle's Studios and American Crafts.

For the background I choose a pink patterned paper. Then added a navy cardstock on top to create contrast in between the pink paper and the white cardstock. On top of the white cardstock, I added different strips of patterned papers and rolled the edges to give them some dimension and make the layout more interesting.

On the left lower corner, I made the bigger cluster using different products from the Fresh Air collection. I added florals, a bird and hearts. Some are cardstock stickers, foam stickers, chipboard stickers and die cuts.

For the title I mixed stickers alphas from Elle's Studios with pink glitter alphas from American Crafts to match the word with its texture!

On the left top area, I added a label with the printed journaling and a few florals and hearts to create the second cluster.

For the third cluster, I added a foam bird, a tab and a a few foam hearts.

This is a very cute and delictate layout. I love how it turned out!

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like and enjoy this layout and it inspires you to craft! Come back soon for more inspiration!
