Christmas Magic Layout

Hello!

When creating a layout, I usually use three or more patterned papers, but this time I only used one as my base. The paper with the snow globe in the Santa's Village collection by Simple Stories is so beautiful, that only a few embellishments were needed to create a scene that will enhance the photo in a fun and beautiful way.

To help the photo stand out in the layout, I used a chipboard frame from the collection. The dark green color will create contrast, helping the viewer see the photo. The gingerbread house in the corner of the frame is a great addition to the North Pole scene I want to create in the snow globe.

On the snow area I added texture using a stencil from Spellbinder and white modeling paste. After it was dry, I added a few trees, light poles, sleigh and kids, using die cuts and foam stickers to create a joyful scene of the North Pole. I used foam tape behind some of the embellishments to give dimension to the layout.

To make the design interesting, I used trees in different sizes and colors. I played with the positioning of them, to create layers and make them look realistic. On the right side of the frame, I added a die cut with signs, this way it is a little different than the other side.

For more texture, I placed white sequins on top of the white dots in the sky area. Aren't they cute?

For the title, I used a foam sticker banner and added a big poinsettia, a holly with foil details, berries and a pine branch. I placed them in the corner to break the perfect circle shape in the design and make it more interesting. Also in this area, I added a few gold stars from the foam stickers.

At the end I added a chain stitch border around the snow globe. You can watch me creating this cute layout in the video below.

I had a great time creating this layout with the Santa's Village collection. If you don't have this collection, you need to give it a look and ask for it in your favorite store!

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout as much as I do, and it inspires you to craft. Come back soon for more inspiration!
