Totally Puurfect Layout

Hello!

How are you, crafty friend? I'm back with a layout I designed for Simple Stories using the cute Fur Baby Cat collection. If you are a cat lover, you need to check this collection out because you are going to love it! The papers are beautiful, and the embellishments are just perfect. Take a look at some of the designs available. Aren't they adorable?

For this layout, I'm using a photo of Cookie. He is a playful and mischievous cat, always looking for trouble and making her life active. But he is so pretty and sweet that she loves him and forgives all his adventures. Take a look at his face, isn't he "purrfect"? I don't have cats at home since I'm allergic to them, but she has a few and, I'm thrilled that she gave me a few gorgeous photos since she is also a scrapbooker.

After choosing the photo, I matted it with the navy floral paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad, leaving a border on the left side to add a little bit of crochet thread and a bow to add texture and a playing element. Then, on the right side of the photo, I added a few pieces of patterned paper from the 12" x 12" collection kit. Check the fish and flower designs on the paper, they are lovely!

For the journaling, I cut a card from the 6x8 Paper Pad and used it for the journaling, matting it with a piece of Dandelion Color Vibe cardstock also from Simple Stories. I used a black pen to draw dashed lines that give the impression that it was stitched.

Since I was using white cardstock as my background, I decided to add more colors and patterns to the layout. For that, I cut diagonally two pieces of the paper with the colored lines. I love how pretty is this paper and it adds all the colors of the collection to the layout allowing me to use all of them to embellish the page. Then, I cut two strips of the yellow paper with the paws, but I didn't want to damage the paw's design so I fussy cut scallops around them and create a nice and playful border to use in the layout. Once they were added to the page, I stitched a white border around the paper with the lines.

To embellish the layout, I used the die cuts, chipboards, foam stickers, cardstock stickers, enamel dots, and decorative brads available for the Fur Baby Cat collection. It's so easy to create a project when you have the coordinating projects on hand since I can use that time to create instead of using it to look for matching products.

When adding the embellishments, I used foam tape most of the time to give them dimension and make the layout more interesting.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like and enjoy this layout, and that it inspires you to craft. Come back soon for more inspiration and have a wonderful day!
