School Days Layout

Hi!! Today I'm sharing a school theme layout. Are you ready for the new back-to-school season? I'm certainly not, but I'm working on that. To create this layout, I used the September products in the My Life 365 collection and mixed them with a paper and a border sticker from the Teen Vibe Carson collection from Bella Blvd. The colors in both collections match perfectly, so why not use them together?

On this layout, I'm using two portrait photos with busy backgrounds. Because of that, I decided to use white cardstock as my base, so the photos can stand out. I mat them using a pink Bella Besties patterned paper to create contrast in the layout and match her sneakers. Then, I selected two strips of patterned paper (yellow polka dot and colored stripes) from one of the papers in the September My Life 365 collection.  On the side, I added a bigger strip of the school icons papers.

Since the white paper with the school icons is so busy, I added a piece of red paper from the Teen Vibe Carson collection. It gives the photos a solid and contrasting placement where they can be the center of attention.

Below the red paper, I added a black scalloped border from the Teen Vibe Carson collection to balance the black on the layout. After that, I started embellishing the design using the Ephemera Die Cuts, the Puffy Stickers, two tags, and a Bella Pop, all from My Life 365.

For the title, I used die cut words with foam tape for dimension. On the left side, I used a reduced 3" x 4" card from the papers and a border punch to give it the notebook look. There, I made a cluster using two pencils and an apple that I fussy cut from the papers.

The little clock on the tags was fussy cut from the white paper with school icons, and the cute backpack is a Bella Pop.

It was fun to create this layout and document those photos of my daughter. It's incredible how fast kids grow, but I'm glad to have them documented.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout, and it inspires you to craft. Please, come back soon for more inspiration!
