Hi! It's Rebeca Ruiz, and I'm delighted to share with you a Halloween layout that I hope inspires you. Last year, we visited Legoland, California, during the fall season, and they were hosting their Brick or Treat activity. It was a fun day, and I took lots of photos of my daughters. In this layout, I'm using two of them, and the gorgeous Spooky Things collection by Simple Stories. I had a great time creating this layout, and I can't wait to create more!
For this layout, I wanted to use a piece of paper that had all the colors in the palette. This is why I chose the plaid paper on top. I tore the bottom edge for texture and added a piece of the purple paper with the webs to make this layout fun and playful. To enhance the photos, I mat them with the orange polka dot paper from the 6x8 pad to have a smaller design that can be seen in the layout.
Since I was using white cardstock as my base, I decided to add color using Distress Ink Dusty Concord diluted in water. Then, I used black acrylic paint for the splatters. Once the paints were dry, I added bats using an old stencil from Simple Stories and Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink. Isn't it fun?
On the bottom edge of the layout, I added two strips of patterned paper and a tag. Then, I created a cluster there using pumpkins, a ghost, bats, stars, and spiders. I mixed embellishments from the different products available in the Spooky Things collection, like foam stickers, cardstock stickers, chipboards, and die cuts.
For the title, I used one of the designs in the foam stickers pack. I love how cute it looks in the layout, and how easy it is to embellish with them. Then, I added a few things around it, like the spiders, web, stars, and the lovely ghost with the chipboard hat.
On top of the bigger photo, I added a few more embellishments to balance the layout and help the viewer move around the page. Then, I used the decorative brads and enamel dots in the collection to add a final touch to the layout.
This is how this layout turned out. I love how it turned out with all the cute details. I hope you like it!
Thanks for your visit, and come back soon for more inspiration. Have a wonderful day!
