Jolly Good Time Layout

Hi! Christmas mornings are special, but when you have kids at home, they are truly magical. I love to photograph my daughters opening their gifts; this way, I capture the emotions of the moment and remember it. For today's project, I'm using photos of my little one riding the bike and scooter that Santa brought her and the Merry Mingle collection by Bella Blvd. The beautiful and bright colors in this collection are perfect for moments like this, and the cute designs available in the embellishments pack are going to help you create a fantastic project in no time!

For this layout, I wanted to create a grid design to showcase some of the patterned papers in the Merry Mingle collection. I cut four of them to 4" x 4". I chose contrasting patterns and colors to make the design colorful and fun. Then, I matted the photos using the mint-striped paper and placed all of them on a piece of yellow polka dot paper to help them pop from the page.

Then, I reduced the white base cardstock to 11" x 11" and matted it with a red polka dot paper and the colored stripes paper to create a border around the layout. For a better finishing look, I stitched a white border around the layout. Once the papers were ready, I added the title using the puffy stickers from the collection and started embellishing the layout. Under the title, I used a scalloped border from the chipboard stickers to give the letters and anchoring place.

In the bottom corner of the layout, I created a cluster to enhance the title. There, I used die-cut pieces from the Ephemera packs, cardstock stickers, and epoxy stickers. To balance the layout, I made another cluster, this time in the opposite upper corner. I used ornaments from the die-cuts and chipboards and hung them with a gold thread.
