Bee-utiful Layout

Hi! Sometimes when creating a layout, the products lead the path. This is the case with the page I'm sharing today using the amazing Simple Vintage Lavender Fields collection by Simple Stories. When I saw the paper with the honey jars, I knew it would be part of my layout. To save the design and make it part of the decorations, I cut around the jars with a precision knife. Then, I fit a cream paper under the design to create contrast and to give the photos a brighter place where I can add other patterned papers and embellishments.

This was a layout that came out easily with all the gorgeous embellishments and designs that are part of the collection. First, I mat the photos with a yellow paper, then I added green and brown papers for more layers and interest.

For texture, I distressed the edges of the papers and tucked a few embellishments around the photo area.

The title was created by mixing the foam stickers and the cardstock stickers. Also, a few pieces of rub-on to make it look more artistic and to complement the design of the layout.

A few tiny details were added to the page, like the small hearts in the jars, decorative brads, and enamel dots.

To balance the layout, I added a few florals and honeycomb die cuts to the layout, in opposite corners.

Then, I finished the layout with a few bees and by tearing the cream paper in the upper and lower corners to reveal a piece of yellow paper.

I'm in love with this gorgeous collection and how easy it is to create with it. You can find the process reel for this layout on my Instagram (@SimplyRebecaRuiz): https://www.instagram.com/p/DXxt5UdBJj3/
