Hi! It's time for a layout about me. This time I'm using the gorgeous Color Me Happy collection by Simple Stories. While doing this layout, I recorded the process and prepared a reel that you can find on my Instagram (@SimplyRebecaRuiz), but let me walk you through the page, to show you some details and info about the design.
For the background, I selected the paper with the circles. I love how it resembles a scalloped border around the layout, making it more colorful and artistic. On top of it, I used a white cardstock matted with a Pink Color Vibe cardstock.
Once the background was ready, I started choosing papers from the collection and add them behind the photo. Some were cut in strips, other in rectangles and big square. By using different sizes and shapes, I create interest and balance in the layout.
For texture, I rolled the upper part of the strips of paper and notched the bottom edge to resemble banners. On the right side, I created a cluster using the different embellishments in the collection. There you can find die cuts, stickers, chipboard, foam stickers, decorative brads, and an enamel dot.
Then, in the lower left corner, I created another cluster using the floral die cuts and a few extra details like the buttons, brads, and enamel dots.
For the title, I used a big foam sticker and a pink word. I placed at the right of the floral cluster to balance the page and take the viewer into the photo.
To finish the layout, I added gold paint splatters near the clusters. I love how they look!
Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you learn something from this layout, and it inspires you to craft. Don't forget to come back soon for more inspiration!
