Sweet Heart Layout

Hi!

Today I'm sharing another layout using the Heartstrings collection by Simple Stories. This collection is the cutest to document the photos of our loved ones and all the special moments during February and Valentine's Day. In this project I'm using two photos and lots of patterned paper to create this beautiful layout on a dark and contrasting background.

For the base, I used a black Color Vibe cardstock. Then, in the middle of it, I added a big piece of the patterned paper with the big colored hearts. On top of that paper, I added three strips of patterned paper with contrasting colors and designs to help the photos stand out. To give those strips a little bit of texture, I rolled the top part of them and notched the bottom part.

Around the paper with the hearts, I added white dots using a gel pen. On the upper right corner of the layout, I added a tag to create a cluster and balance the page. There I used piece of twine to create a bow and embellish the tag with a label, hearts, decorative brads, a phrase, and an enamel dot.

In the middle of the layout, I added two photos matted with a piece of green paper from the 6" x 8" pad. By doing it, I was able to create contrast and help the photos be the focus of the page.

Then, I was able to add the title using the "Sweet" foam word and the "heart" from the journal die cuts.
On the upper corner of the photos, I made a floral cluster mixing flowers from the stickers, die cuts, and foam packs.

I made a third cluster on the right of the title to help it look prettier and to balance the layout. There I also mixed different products like stickers, foam, and decorative brads.

It was fun creating with this collection. It is so happy and bright that every time I look at this layout, I smile.

Thank you very much for your visit. I hope you like and enjoy this layout as much as I do, and it inspires you to craft and document your memories. Have a wonderful day and come back soon for mor inspiration!
