So Very Sweet Layout

Hi! The Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection by Simple Stories is gorgeous and it's so versatile that it can be used to document all kind of memories. In this layout, I'm using the collection to document the sweet photos of my daughter, so let's take a closer look into the layout while I tell you how I made it.

For this layout, I started by choosing one of the chipboard frames from the collection to display the photos. It is an easy and beautiful way of helping them be the focus of attention.

Another thing I wanted to use in this layout, was the Spellbinders' die #S4-1428 which have the pot of Hunny. I used 6" x 8" papers from the Color Vibe Pads and also from the Say Cheese Classic Pooh pad. To assembly the pieces together, I used foam tape behind the lid to give it some dimension.

After that, I chose the patterned papers I wanted to display in the layout. I selected four different papers in contrasting colors. Vertically you can find the floral blue paper and the beige polka dot paper. Horizontally you can find the yellow paper and the beige paper that have the drawings of the characters. For texture, I tore an edge on three of the papers and then, distress all the edges. I love doing this technique to make my projects more interesting.

For the background I used a white cardstock reduced to 11" x 11" and matted it in a Robbin's Egg Color Vibe cardstock. To keep them together, I stitched a zig-zag border around the cardstocks. I love how the border look and is a way of adding more texture to the layout. On the bottom part, I made a cluster using different embellishments from the collection like stickers, die cuts, chipboard, enamel dots, decorative brads, and foam stickers.

For the title, I use the "so very" and "Sweet" die cuts from the Sentiments Bits & Pieces. They were added with foam tape to add dimension to the title. On the left corner of the frame, I added a chipboard "Pooh" and a few die cuts to embellish the area and help all the pieces look as a whole.

On the right corner of the photos, I made a floral cluster to balance the layout and create a visual triangle. I enjoy adding florals to my projects, they are always a great addition!

The last detail was adding a few decorative brads and enamel dots around the page, and also a few bees from the foam, chipboard, rub-ons, and stickers. It was so much fun creating this layout that I can't wait to use this collection again!

Thank you very much for your visit. I hope you like and enjoy this layout, and it inspires you to craft. Have a great day and come back soon for more inspiration!
