Grateful Layout

Hi! Are you like me and find it hard to choose which papers to use in a project? Sometimes, they are all so beautiful that you want to incorporate every single design into your layout! That’s exactly what happened to me when creating this page with the gorgeous Pumpkins & Plaid collection by Simple Stories.

I selected three photos and arranged them in the center of the layout. Then, I started playing with the patterned papers to create contrast between the different designs. I used a large piece of mint paper over the white cardstock to create a foundation for the rest of the elements.

Next, I added the pink floral paper and matted the photos with the burgundy floral paper. These three colors create a beautiful contrast and help the photos stand out on the page.

In the upper area, I used small pieces of other patterned papers to create banners. This is a perfect way to incorporate several designs without overwhelming the page!

Below the photos, I added an orange border sticker and two tags to balance the composition and make the layout feel more cohesive. I also placed the foam sticker title and a few embellishments in this area.

On the right side of the layout, you'll find a floral cluster made with stickers and die cuts.

To the left of the title, I created a small cluster using a pumpkin and a fox from the sticker sheet, along with two leaves from the die-cut pack. Below the title, I added three colorful hearts from the foam stickers.

The third and final cluster is positioned above the photos, where I mixed floral elements from the chipboard and die-cut packs. If you look closely, you'll notice that I repeated the same shade of yellow in all three clusters to create visual balance and tie the entire layout together.

Once all the main elements were in place, I added a few extra details around the clusters, including buttons, decorative brads, and enamel dots. I love adding these little finishing touches to my projects because they bring extra charm and dimension to the page!
