Hi! Are you a Christmas lover? I definitely am, and today I'm excited to share with you a fun and beautiful Christmas layout using the Hard Candy Christmas collection by Simple Stories. This new collection is the sweetest. The colors are so bright and gorgeous that I don't want to stop scrapbooking.
The inspiration for this layout came from the sweet photos of my daughter all dressed up for the Ugly Sweater Day at school. It was a beautiful surprise when we arrived at school and Santa was there in the sleigh with the reindeer. She was thrilled, and I quickly photographed the moment. Once I had the photos printed, I looked for papers in the collection that would help me create a layout to document those special memories in a beautiful and fun way.
For the background, I chose white cardstock and matted it with two patterned papers in contrasting colors, the polka dot red and the green with the hollies. I cut them to create a frame around the layout, and in the middle area, I used pink paper to anchor the photos.
On the bottom edge of the white cardstock, I added a piece of the striped paper and a thin wood strip to hold Santa, the tree, and the gifts.
For the title, I used the "So Festive" banner die cut and the "Sweet" foam sticker. It is the perfect title for this page, don't you think?
Once the main elements of the layout were ready, I started embellishing. In the top area, you can find ornaments in different sizes, colors, and shapes. To make them more realistic, I used white/gold twine to hang them from the top edge, and for dimension, I used foam tape behind them. Then, to balance the layout, I added a green scalloped border under the pink paper. This border was fussy cut from one of the papers in the Hard Candy Christmas collection.
To finish the layout, I added a few decorative brads, glitter enamel dots, and asterisk stars to make this page colorful and fun.
Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout and it inspires you. You can visit my Instagram account to see a process reel of this layout. Please, come back soon for more inspiration.
Have a wonderful day!
