Happy International Scrapbook Day, crafty friend! I'm very happy to share with you a layout I designed to celebrate this special day, using the gorgeous Let's Scrapbook collection by Bella Blvd. In this layout, I want to document and celebrate a special relationship that started a few years ago with our love for paper crafts and has grown until today. This hobby is special, and the people who are part of this community are so caring, loving, and unique that it is important to document those relationships and moments we share, and this collection is perfect for that.

I started this layout by creating the background. For that, I chose the black paper from the collection and on top, I added a piece of the white paper with the crafty tools. Then, I matted the photo with a piece of paper from the 6" x 8" Bella Besties Pad and placed it on top of the teal polka dot paper. To create a division between the papers, I added a strip of green paper, which makes the layout look better by dividing the colors and giving it a nice finish.
Since this is a busy layout with all the bright and happy colors, I decided to maintain the embellishments to a minimum. On the left side fo the photo, I created a little cluster using hearts from the acrylic shapes, cardstock and chipboards. Also, added a circle and two stars from the cardstock stickers.
For the title, I mixed different products to give the area texture and interest. The "Crafty" word is a die cut, the "friends" word was made with the Bella Besties Aria Puffy Alphas, and the "ladies weekend" banner is from the chipboard stickers. Around the title, I added a few pieces of die cuts to make it more interesting, and the black chipboard cart is perfect for this photo of us in a weekend scrapbook event. Behind the die cuts, I used foam tape to give them dimension.
Above the green strip of paper, I added rainbows I fussy cut from one of the papers, to create a border and help the photo stand out in the layout. For additional texture, I stitched a white border around the teal polka dot paper.
Once the layout was ready, I added white paint splatters using calligraphy ink and a brush.
