Spoiled Layout

Hi! It's Rebeca Ruiz and I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today I'm sharing a layout using the new Meow collection by Bella Blvd. If you are a cat person, you are going to love this beautiful collection that features happy colors and the cutest designs to document all your cat's adventures.

For this layout, I wanted to use the only photo I have of Oreo in the hammock. This is why I printed it big to ensure it is the page's focal point. Once the photo was ready, I selected various patterned papers from the 12" x 12" to mat it and create the layout design.

Since the photo is in landscape, I played with the direction of the papers to make the layout more interesting and to help the photo stand out on the page. I started by adding a piece of teal paper in a vertical position. Then, I added a square of the fuchsia paper with hearts. On top, I added the photo, matted with a piece of orange gingham paper from the 6" x 6" Bella Besties Pad. To give the photo and anchoring place, I cut two strips of paper in contrasting colors and placed them in a landscape orientation. On the left side, I made a diagonal cut to give the papers movement.

On the top area of the layout, I used other patterned papers from the Meow collection. As you can see, I'm a paper lover and adding lots of papers is something I enjoy in my projects. Here I used the papers with the words and the purple one. To make the area more interesting, I added a yellow scalloped border from the sticker sheet. I made it a little shorter to help it look cuter and fun.

For the title, I selected the word "Spoiled" from the Ephemera Words and the phrase "This is my spot now". They are perfect for the photo! Around the title, I embellished using a cat from the Bella-Pops, die cuts from the Ephemera Icons pack, and stickers from the Epoxy and Puffy packs.   Aren't these embellishments amazing?

To balance the layout, I made a little cluster on the upper part of the layout. For that, I used the orange tag from one of the papers and made a second tag using a pink paper from the 6" x 6" Bella Besties Pad. I placed them under the papers and border and embellished with a white bow made out of thread. On top of the tags, I added flowers, hearts, and a banner word from the Ciao Chip, Ephemera, Epoxy, and Puffy stickers. Mixing the products is a great way of adding texture to the projects and making them more interesting.

The last detail was adding black paint splatters around the clusters. I love doing this because for me, the page looks more artistic, and in this particular layout, it helps the photo stand out.

Thank you so much for your visit. I hope you like this layout, and it inspires you to craft. Don't forget to come back soon for more inspiration.
